A clear view of your privacy.
App Feedback stores the questions and answers you submit, your company details, your name, your contact email, and the feedback generated for each version. Drafts are stored only in your browser tab, expire after 24 hours, and are cleared from that tab when submitted.
Who can read your application?
You and the invited App Feedback review team. Team members can read submissions, write internal notes, and shortlist applications. Those notes and selection decisions are not shared with applicants. Applications are not published.
No account or email code is needed. A private cookie keeps your feedback accessible in this browser for 7 days. Clearing cookies or switching browsers removes that access. Entering the same email address does not recover previous submissions or give access to anyone else’s work.
How automated feedback works
In local mode, the default is a set of basic writing checks that run on this computer. When AI is configured, your company name, application questions, and answers are sent to the configured AI provider to generate feedback. Contact details are not sent as separate fields, but anything you write in an answer is part of the submitted text. Avoid including secrets or information you do not want processed.
Retention and deletion
Submitted applications are retained for up to 90 days, unless you delete them sooner from your application page. Deleting a submission also removes its feedback and team notes. Other versions remain until deleted or expired. In local mode, expired data is cleaned when the app is running; if it is stopped, cleanup resumes when you use it again. Drafts and browser sessions are separate from submitted applications.
Contact is your choice
Submitting for feedback allows the review team to read and evaluate your application. Contact about opportunities is a separate, optional choice on the submission form. You can use feedback without opting into outreach.
No tracking of your answers
This first version does not include advertising trackers or session replay. Application text is not intentionally written to application logs. No sign-in codes or automated emails are sent.
Independent feedback
App Feedback is not affiliated with Y Combinator. Feedback is an aid to editing, not an admission prediction. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your application.
